Sweet Caroline Lodge is perfectly positioned beside the beautiful Pedalo Lake at Hoburne Holiday Park – the largest of four lakes on site, spanning an impressive 5.5 acres. Once an old gravel pit, the lake was first stocked with fish over 20 years ago and has since become a favourite for anglers of all levels.
The lake is well-known for its remarkable stock of specimen carp, with catches recorded up to an incredible 54lbs, along with plenty of 30s and 40s. You’ll also find tench, pike, perch, roach, and rudd thriving in its waters. Averaging 5–6ft deep, the lake shallows out towards the clubhouse. Fishing is permitted daily from 8am to 10pm (no night fishing).
Over the years, many well-known anglers have fished here, including Ollie Davies, Hassan Kahn, and Terry Hearn. Friendly bailiffs are on hand to provide tips, and a tackle shop across the road makes it easy to stock up on essentials.
